Award-winning singer and entertainer, D’banj, is in a dilemma over what to do with the building where his 13-month-old son, Daniel Jr, died in a drowning accident in June.
According to reports, the musician is weighing the option of selling it because of the sad memory it arouses. “D’banj and his wife are considering selling the house but some people have advised them not to,” the source told an online newspaper under condition of anonymity.
The building, which is the only one the musician has to his name, is said to have cost him something in the region of N560million. “It will not be easy to raise that kind of funds to build another house, the source added.
Recall that D’banj was away in the United States at the time of the tragedy, but his wife, Lineo, was said to be at home. Those advising the singer not to sell the property fear that prospective buyers may take advantage of D’banj’s emotional state to undervalue the building. Some people have, however, advised him to move back in and possibly seal off the swimming pool area where his son drowned.
