The Service Compact Unit (SERVICOM) of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, bestowed with an excellence award in service delivery as the “Best MSU (Team A) for 2019.” Similarly, head of EFCC SERVICOM, Mohammed Bako clinched an excellence award as the “Best Nodal Officer in Team A, 2019.”

National coordinator and chief executive officer of Nodal, Mrs, Nnenna Akajemeli, while handing the EFCC award to Bako, stated that it was “in appreciation of the EFCC’s unwavering commitment and dedication to service excellence.” She further stated that SERVICOM would continue to “count on the inspiring drive and commitment,” of the EFCC in its efforts “to provide satisfactory service to all citizens in Nigeria.”

SERVICOM in choosing its EFCC’s unit for the award, stated that it considered the effective functions of the Commission’s unit in driving the excellent service delivery of the Commission.

In winning the award, the EFCC SERVICOM Unit scored 83.5 per cent which represents a ‘Three Star’ performance and functionality in Ministries, departments and agencies of the federal government.

While prompting the EFCC SERVICOM Unit not to rest on its laurels, Mrs Ladi D. Aku, Supervising Team Leader of SERVICOM Evaluators, stated that, “It is our belief that the EFCC would aim at continuous improvement on the quality of service delivered to the MDA and its customers if the recommendations contained in this report are considered and faithfully implemented.”

SERVICOM was established on March 21, 2004 as a Presidential Initiative for rendering quick and satisfactory service by all government agencies to Nigerians. It is a service agreement between the federal government, its organs and the Nigerian people, premised on the right of Nigerians to quality and prompt services.
