President Muhammadu Buhari sends warm greetings to former Minister of National Planning, Chief Ayodele Ogunlade, on his 90th birthday, March 18, 2021, joining family and friends to celebrate with the veteran journalist and renowned industrialist.
The President congratulates Chief Ogunlade on the milestone, preceded by many years of hard work as a journalist, where he started out as one of the pioneer staff of the first television network in Africa, Western Nigeria Television and Broadcast Service, after working as a primary and secondary school teacher.
President Buhari believes the former minister’s proclivity for new careers and testing grounds in business greatly enriched his experience, with a willingness to always share knowledge and skills in service to the nation and humanity, which separated him for recognitions and awards, especially his consistency in the leadership of the Rotary Club.
As Chief Ogunlade turns a nonagenarian, the President prays for his wellbeing, and greater grace to serve God and humanity.
