Delta Governor and Vice-Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated a former Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and former Senator, Sir Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, as he clocks 65 years.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, on Thursday in Asaba, Okowa described Aguariavwodo as a distinguished parliamentarian, who represented his people of Delta Central at the Senate with commitment and dedication.
He said that Aguariavwodo had every cause to celebrate and thank God Almighty for His goodness to him, including keeping him to attain 65 years in robust health and sound mind.
While congratulating the Urhobo leader, the governor maintained that the sterling contributions of Aguariavwodo to the development of the Urhobo nation, Delta State and Nigeria was commendable and urged him to, as a dependable leader, continue the promotion of the ideals that would further unify the people of Central Senatorial District and Delta State.
“Your contributions as a former member of House of Representatives and the second Managing Director of the NDDC remain indelible.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I congratulate you and pray that Almighty God continues to strengthen, guide and prosper you .
“As you celebrate this wonderful anniversary with joy, it is my prayer that Almighty God continues to bless you with robust health and many more years of happiness.
