The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has rejoiced with former Deputy Governor and member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan, on her 70th birthday.

Princess Sosan, an educationist who served as deputy governor of Lagos State under ex-Governor Babatunde Fashola from 2007 to 2011, clocked 70 today, February 11.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, described Princess Sosan as a devoted and visionary leader who served the state diligently, by contributing her quota towards her development.

He said Princess Sosan, while in office as deputy to Governor Babatunde Fashola, worked closely with her principal and other members of the State Executives Council to make Lagos State a model to other states in Nigeria.

Governor Sanwo-Olu also praised Princess Sosan’s contribution to the society as a teacher and education administrator with an impactful role in thousands of students who are today’s leaders in different sectors.

He said: “On behalf of my wife, family, the good people and government of Lagos State, as well as leaders and members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), I join family, friends, and political associates to congratulate former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan, on her 70th birthday.

“Princess Sosan served Lagos State passionately for over three decades, especially in the Ministry of Education, as a teacher, administrator and board member for over two decades before becoming a deputy governor in 2007.

“She started her political journey with the progressives, and she has been a true supporter of good governance and progressive ideals. For over two decades, she has been part of the ruling party, contributing her quota to the progress of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the ward, local government, state and national levels.

“On this occasion of Princess Sarah Sosan’s 70th birthday, I wish her good health as she joins the league of septuagenarians. I pray that God will give her more strength as she continues to render more service to humanity, Lagos State, and Nigeria.”
