The Office of the First Lady of Nigeria in collaboration with Women and National Development (WAND), a gender-based NGO, will perform the public presentation of the book Aisha Buhari: Being Different by Hajo Sani, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Women Affairs and Administration. The event will be chaired by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader, All Progressives Congress (APC), while Mrs. Folorunso Alakija is billed to be the Special Guest of Honour. The book will be reviewed by Prof. Fatai Aremu of NIPSS Kuru and presented to the public by eminent Nigerians.
The afternoon session will feature a Summit on First Ladyship, with the theme: Emerging Trends in the Role of the First Lady in National Development. The Summit is targeted at State First ladies and gender-focused institutions, with Erelu Bisi Fayemi, First Lady of Ekiti State as Keynote Speaker, and Dr. Betsy Obaseki, First Lady of Edo State as session Chair. The event, which will be moderated by Kachi Okezie Esq. is expected to discuss the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with the office of the First Lady.
