Barcelona have stepped up their pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann with a view to a summer deal, say reports in Spain.
The front page of El Mundo Deportivo outlines how Barca are keen to sign the Frenchman due to his ‘experience’, ‘qualities’ and ‘hunger for titles’ while Diario Sport also report on the club’s willingness for a deal.
The 27-year-old has a current release clause in his contract which stands at €200m, but this will reportedly revert down to €100m when the summer transfer window opens.
Last week, Griezmann stated he wanted his future clarified ‘before the World Cup’, which gets underway in June.
Barca have already made strides to overhaul their attack in recent times with the big-money signings of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.
