Bisoye Coker Odusote is one woman, who has made the women-folk proud through her sterling performances in each office she has held. She is an engineer who has played vital roles as Deputy General Manager of the prestigious Agency through improved stakeholders’ engagements and execution of digital transformation projects.
Her impressive journey also includes serving as the Head of Information Technology & Communication at Bate Litwin, an engineering company working on projects such as Chevron ESA (JV with Atlas). Coker-Odusote’s diverse experience also encompasses her time in the United Kingdom and Nigeria, with 15 years of expertise across technology, real estate/construction, oil and gas, finance, and media industries.

Coker-Odusote was the head of Information Technology and Communication at Bate Litwin, an engineering company working on projects such as Chevron ESA (JV with Atlas). She was the head of Information Technology and Communication at BATELitwin (formerly a subsidiary of Litwin, France), which is an engineering company working for the Oil and Gas Upstream, midstream, and Downstream sectors.
In 2021, she became the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer (GM/CEO) of the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA), which is charged with regulating utility infrastructure within the state. As the General Manager of LASIMRA, her day-to-day functions, saw her managing key utility infrastructure providers – telecommunication, power, and gas operators – to promote standards and procedures in infrastructural development and maintenance, reducing damage to public utilities whilst fostering collaboration amongst the stakeholders in improving public safety and transforming Lagos state to a smart city.
Her innovative work at LASIMRA was impactful within the utility infrastructure space and well acknowledged amongst its stakeholders and the public, which saw her being recognised as one of the value-driven CEOs of excellence that powered Nigeria’s economic growth in 2022 based on LASIMRA’s contribution to digital infrastructure.
She was appointed as the director general (DG) of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) by President Bola Tinubu. President Tinubu’s appointment of Coker-Odusote reflects a strategic move to infuse NIMC with leadership that possesses both technical expertise and a vision for innovation.At NIMC, she has ushered in developmental projects, details of which will be revealed soon. Most importantly, she has chosen not to soil her father’s hard-earned name, by being upright.
Coker-Odusote brings a wealth of experience to her new role as acting DG which will follow the terminal vacation of the office by the outgoing DG/CEO of the commission, Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, who has been asked to proceed on a 90-day retirement leave from August 24 after which, a full term of four years will begin as the substantive NIMC boss on November 24, 2023.
