President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ajuri Ngelale as Special Adviser On Media, Publicity.
This was made known in a statement by Willie Bassey, the Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume on Monday.
According to the statement, the appointment takes effect from 31st July, 2023 and would terminate at the end of this administration unless otherwise decided by the President.
The President urged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the new assignment.
Ajuri served as the Special Assistant to the immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari on Public Affairs.
Born on 12 November to Chief Precious Osaro Ngelale, former Honourable Minister of State for Water Resources and a German US-born mother, Ajuri is an editor, columnist, and an investigative reporter.
Confirming the appointment, Ajuri wrote on his tweeter handle on Monday evening;
I am most humbled and honoured by H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recognition of the need for more hard work ahead as I have been appointed as his Official Spokesperson & Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity.
