President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Nigeria after a stopover in London from the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
The President’s aircraft touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 7:55pm on Monday.
President Buhari left the country on Sunday, September 17 to attend the 72nd session of the UNGA in the United States.
After addressing at the UNGA on Tuesday, the President left New York on Thursday for London from where he flew back to the country.
Special Assistant to President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, also confirmed the President’s return in a tweet on Monday.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, had said the President will arrive in Nigeria on Monday but did not state the reason for Buhari’s visit to London.
The president has spent about 160 non-consecutive days in London for medical vacation.
