Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wednesday night became the first player in Champions League history to score in every single group stage match in a season.
No football player has ever done so in the Europe’s elite competition. CR7, as fondly called, set the record during his team’s home match against Borussia Dortmund.
In the 12th minute, Mateo Kovačić, fed Ronaldo who was at the edge of the box, and the Portuguese forward guided a curled effort into the top right-hand corner.
Four minutes earlier, Ronaldo cuts inside quickly from the left flank and pokes a pass into the box and towards Isco, who moves it on to Mayoral and sets up the young striker to easily beat Burki from close range.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid midfielder, Mateo Kovacic has backed Ronaldo to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
