Former Super Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche, believes Villarreal forward, Samuel Chukwueze, is enjoying his football with the Yellow Submarines and he shouldn’t be in a hurry to quit the Spanish side.
Chukwueze has been an ever-present in Javier Calleja’s team since making his first team debut in 2018.
His performances saw him shortlisted for the 2019 Golden Boy award, which was won by Juventus’ Mattis De Ligt.
He’s also been a target of La Liga giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, as well as Premier League sides Liverpool and Arsenal.
However, Uche, who also starred for Villarreal believes the 20-year-old still has enough room to improve at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
“Him (Chukwueze) staying where he is (Villarreal) is okay, it’s a big team. If he considers changing, it is still okay but everything depends on many factors. It’s not about not getting the minutes,” Uche said during an Instagram interview with the Super Eagles media team.
“Some people move because they are not getting minutes, some people they don’t move because they are getting the minutes, his case is different, it’s not really about getting or not getting minutes.
“If he stays, he still has a lot to learn, he is very good. Sometimes making a move might make you understand what to do and even make you get better in football.”
