Professor Yemi Osinbajo, no doubt, is highly qualified to run for the office of Nigeria’s President.
Apart from his mein, Osinbajo in the past seven years has proven to be a reliable lieutenant to his principal. It is becoming increasingly clear to many that the Vice President who is one of the top contenders in the 2023 presidential election may be the likely Presidential successor. The odds seem to be in his favour. Osinbajo, a politician cum Pastor of the largest church in Nigeria is a Professor of Law who has become a political brand with a proven mark of impact and influence in different parts of Nigeria.
He is a brand that is accepted by almost every other Nigerian; a Vice President that is cerebral, highly intelligent, very educated, amazingly humble, loyal, indisputably compassionate and godly to a fault.
He has shown Nigerians that with a presidential mandate, he will do more for this country as many can see what he has done as acting president; he did a lot in managing Nigeria’s diversity; what he has done with the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), what he has done with even the National Economic Team that he chairs, and the testimonies coming even from people outside of his party – the APC.
Osinbajo is a household name; a man that is accepted in virtually all zones of the country; a good product that doesn’t come with any baggage or scandal; and gladly, the responses from Nigerians have been so inspiring. The responses show that he is loved by everyone.
Haters may check, he has his die-hard supporters and admirers in different parts of the country. Osinbajo’s supporters are well armed with enviable track records and they are prepared to face anyone in making a case for his candidacy. They are ready to work round the clock to win more souls for him.
With the recent launch of the Progressives Project, a Support Group for Osinbajo, a conglomerate of all support, Osinabajo’s ardent supporters across the country have demonstrated their common interests to sustain the pressure they placed on him to run for 2023 presidential election.
Today, members of the Osinbajo Support Group picked up the presidential nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The support group, led by Senator Kabiru Gaya, a member of the Senate, picked up the form for Osinbajo in Abuja on Thursday.
Speaking after picking the One Hundred-Million-naira form today in Abuja, Senator Gaya said the support groups have come together to purchase the forms for the Vice President because he is an excellent material, who is good for the job.
Senator Gaya, who represents Kano-South in the Senate, said, “we are hoping that if there would be a consensus, the other aspirants themselves will choose our aspirant.”
“He is excellent material, he is good for the job and he has been on the seat for seven years now. He is a very loyal vice president”
VP Osinbajo is one of the frontline runners for the ruling party’s presidential ticket, who has expressed an undying love for the nation’s national unity.
However, as nature demands, different quarters have been throwing different shades of opinions and views about his personality and his relationship with his former boss and co-contender, Sen. Bola Tinubu. Some of these people who may go to any extent to defend and support the candidacy of his former boss, Tinubu, may need to check facts right.
Osinbajo’s aspiration is in no way, backstabbing, rather he has the interest of the Nation at heart. His allegiance, like he said, is to the Nation and not to any personality.
