Nigerian Guild Of Editors has commended the infrastructural and human capital development in Delta State, describing it as impressive.
In a letter of appreciation signed by the President, Funke Egbemode and General Secretary, Victoria Abang, the Guild commended the state government for ensuring a successful hosting of the 14th All Nigeria Editors’ Conference in Asaba which was attended by over 300 editors and guests from across the country.
“Your support, no doubt, ensured a very successful outing for the Guild and the over 300 editors and guests from different parts of the country who attended the conference. It is gratifying to note that the event also afforded members of the Guild the opportunity to see first impressive achievements of your government in the areas of infrastructural and human capital development in the last three years”, the Guild said
While calling for free and fair elections devoid of violence in the country, the Guild urged Governor Okowa to re-enact in the state the process that made the Peoples’ Democratic Party Presidential Primaries the most credible in the country.
