Kennedy Uzoka is an Havard University Alumnus, who has over 2 decades experience covering core banking, corporate marketing, strategic business advisory services and resources management. Mr. Uzoka has also focused on the consistent expansion of UBA’s activities and services across and beyond the African continent.
He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School (AMP) in Boston USA, the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland and the London Business School, United Kingdom.
In his role as the CEO, UBA, Uzoka pulled increased financial performances and appreciation of shareholders’ investment.
Under his supervision, UBA has polled massive investment through the digitalised platform of the bank. Through his, UBA’s activities and processes, particularly the introduction of UBA’s chatbot, LEO which is the first of its kind by any financial institutions in Africa have been huge successes.
The visionary leadership of Mr. Uzoka has led UBA to earn the digital bank of the year award consistently. The launch of LEO, an artificial intelligence chatbot in January of 2018 has witnessed UBA become the leader in artificial intelligence. Leo is available on different platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook and more recently on IOS, the mobile operating system of Apple Inc.
He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Benin, South-south Nigeria and an MBA from the University of Lagos, South-west Nigeria. Mr Uzoka has over two decades experience covering core banking, corporate marketing communication, strategy and business advisory services.

He has been responsible for the overall creation, planning, implementing and integrating the strategic direction of UBA Group with a view to creating shareholder value.
As the DMD/CEO UBA Africa he had responsibility for growing and deepening the Group’s operations in her 18 presence countries across the African continent.
KU was responsible for championing the UBA vision and establishing her as the financial solution provider of choice on the continent. He is responsible for leading the development and execution of UBA Group’s long term strategy.
Prior to his current role, he was CEO UBA Africa managing the Group’s country subsidiaries across 18 countries in Africa as well as supervising 3 key strategic support areas in Digital Banking, Information Technology and Personal Banking.
As Deputy Managing Director, he was the Executive in charge of the Group’s businesses in New York and London.
