Abiye David Jumbo, popularly known as Mr. 2Kay  was reportedly robbed at gun point in his hotel room at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, after performing at 2face’s Buckwyld and Breathless Concert, which took place at the convention centre of Eko Hotel.

According to his manager, James Silas, four armed men were said to have gained access to Mr. 2Kay’s hotel room after he mistook one of them for room service.

On opening the door, they forcefully made their way into the room threatening to shoot him or his friend if they attempt raising alarm.

2Kay, who was in the company of a friend was said to have engaged one of the robbers in a duel, as others battered him repeatedly with their guns, warning him to cooperate with them or they harm them both.

Silas further disclosed to E-daily that the robbers eventually made away with valuables, which includes the singer’s clothes, jewelry, phones, perfumes, and money, leaving him totally bound, arms, legs and mouth while his friend was locked up in the bathroom.

The hotel authorities and the police are said to have swung into action as they have taken 2Kay and his friend’s statements for investigation purposes.

Meanwhile, Mr. 2Kay is currently receiving medical attention for his wounds, while the police continue their investigations, promising to clamp down on the evil perpetrators.
