Nigeria VS Zambia: Rohr May Drop Some ‘Big Names’ From Starting XI

Rohr was not too happy with the performance of some of his first team players after Thursday’s closed-door training session Though there is a popular saying that you don’t change a winning team, that may not hold water explicitly with Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr ahead of Saturday’s crunch clash against Zambia in the World Cup qualifying series.

Bounce Sports reliably gathered that Rohr was not particularly happy with the output of some of his possible starters even as he warned that no one is guaranteed a starting shirt.

“You will be surprised that those that are meant to start were actually beaten 3-0 in the closed door session” one of the officials confided to Bounce Sports “I am sure everybody will wake up for the final training session, because that will really determine who plays or not’ the source added.

On his part, Rohr has also said even though he already has a likely starting line up in his head, his final selection will be influenced by the performance in training.

“I will make up my mind after the final training session” he said during the interactive session with journalists in Uyo on
