Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Friday, condoled his Akwa-Ibom counterpart, Pastor Umo Eno, on the death of his wife, Mrs Patience Umo Eno.
Mrs Eno died on Thursday, after a brief illness.
Condoling with Governor Umo Eno, the government and people of Akwa-Ibom, Oborevwori, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, urged him to take solace in the fact that though she had a brief stay on earth, she lived a good life during which she contributed invaluably to the service of God and humanity.
He paid glowing tribute to Mrs Patience Eno for being a good wife and mother and joined the family and people of Akwa-Ibom to mourn her .
“We received the news of the demise of your beloved wife with sadness, given how much she had stoutly supported you and served God and the government and people of the state.
However, we are consoled by the fact that she lived a life of dedicated service to God and humanity.
“Mrs Eno was a strong pillar in the family and community, a strong disciplinarian, a loving mother, dutiful wife and a devout Christian who would be missed by all those whose lives she affected in many positive ways.
“We share in your sorrow and pains at this period and we pray that God will grant you and the family the courage to bear the loss. We also pray for the repose of the soul of your departed wife.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I mourn with you, my brother Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on the unfortunate and painful demise of your beloved wife,” Oborevwori said.
