Gôvernor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and Vice Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has congratuled media mogul, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, on his 63rd birth anniversary.

Okowa, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, lauded the Chairman/Editor-in-Chief of THISDAY Newspapers Group/Arise News, for his exemplary contributions to media ownership and practice in Nigeria.

He remarked that the celebrant brought grandeur to bear on the noble profession through deserving innovations, saying such inspirational and leadership efforts earned him the sobriquet – “The Duke” of journalism.

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I congratulate our illustrious son and leader, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, as he celebrates his 63rd birth anniversary.

“Your contributions to journalism and media cannot be overemphasized as a former President, Newspapers Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria, (NPAN) where you successfully built an influential network of friends and associates that cut across all segments of the society.

“As a good manager of human resources, you have continued to attract the best and gifted hands in journalism to your stables.

“As you celebrate 63 years today, I congratulate the media maestro, an impeccable journalist and pride of Delta, whose contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria’s media industry remain indelible in the annals of Nigerian history,” Okowa stated.

He prayed that Almighty God would give him good health and longer life to sustain his contributions to humanity.
