Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has congratulated former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd) who turned 77 on Friday August 17, 2018.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu to the former military leader, Okowa wished him a robust health and many years ahead as he continues to contribute his quota to nation building.

The Statement, reads: “On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I write to wish you a very happy 77th birthday anniversary.

“At 77, your contributions to nation building has remained undiminished as you continue to fearlessly lend your strong voice and strategic support to the genuine efforts towards making our nation great. May the Almighty God bless you with more rewarding years.”

“As a state, we are grateful for your contributions to the creation of Delta State, 27 years ago. Your vision and foresight in creating the state has no doubt paid off in the economic, infrastructural and human capital development of our people.

“We recall with gratitude your ennobling contributions to the growth and development of our country Nigeria and we wish you more glorious years of contributions to building a united, peaceful and egalitarian Nigeria.” the statement added

The Governor wished the former President a happy birthday celebration.
