The Delta State Governor’s Aide on Media Mr Ossai Ovie Success has won the 2018 Nigeria Achievers Award as NAA Supportive Young Person of the Year which took place in Victoria Island Lagos at the weekend.

According to the Organiser Princess Joy Osusu, the award won by the Governor Aide on Media is a merited award looking at his achievements in the past years, for his support toward the development of youths and commitment to service delivery in Delta state.

“Mr Ossai is not just the youngest political Appointee in Nigeria but a young man that is passionate, dedicated, focused and an inspiration to youths in Nigeria.

“We are proud to associate with him and to encourage him never to give up in being a role model to Nigerian Youths across the globe,” she said.

Ossai in his acceptance speech thanked the organisers for finding him worthy of honour, adding that Nigeria is a Progressive Nation.

“I am glad to be a Deltan and a Nigerian, as a youth I believe in the transformation of Delta State and Nigeria.

“There is a need for us as youths in our various cities, communities to embrace peace because, in the absence of peace, there is poverty, pains, frustration and under developments.

“As youths, we have a lot to offer our nation Nigeria, crime will take us to nowhere, rather it will destroy our future” he added.

He dedicated the award to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who found him worthy to be appointed at such a tender age.

“I am dedicating this award to the Delta State Governor Sen Ifeanyi Okowa who found me worthy to serve as a youth in his administration because without God using him and others to bring the best in me, there wouldn’t have been Ossai Ovie Success today.

“And to everyone who stood by me all the way to where I am today, I am indebted to you all.

“To my fellow youths, Let’s be focus, be patient, do our best and trust in God in all our endeavours, the future is definitely bright,” he said.

It could be recalled that the Delta State Governor Sen Ifeanyi Okowa appointed Mr Ossai Ovie Success as his Political Aide on Media at the age of 23 which made Ossai the youngest political appointee in Nigeria.

Other recipients include the Delta State Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Osanebi Ossai Friday, Denrele Edun, Princess Kelechi Oghene, Prince Olatuji Olusoji, Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Olorogun Aghoghovwia Grace Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor on Beautification, Frank D Don and other notable personalities.
