Mesut Ozil has signed a new three and a half year deal with Arsenal football club thus making him the highest paid player at the club with the newly signed £350,000 a week salary.
The 29 year old joined Arsenal from spanish club Real Madrid for a then record fee of £42.4million in 2013. The World Cup winner has since agreed to the terms of the new contract and signed on Wednesday at the clubs training ground.
This moves comes as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang completed a club record signing of £56million from Borussia Dortmund, a move which could see Olivier Giroud make a switch to rival London side Chelsea who are currently looking for a Premier League experienced striker.
