President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday expressed his condolences on the demise of veteran lawyer, banker and politician, Kabiru Mukhtar, who died in Kano and was buried the same day.
President Buhari said the late Barrister Kabiru Mukhtar leaves behind an indelible contribution to law and the financial world and will always be remembered for his bullish outlook.
In the message to his spouse, former Minister of State, Trade and Investment and later, Women Affairs, Hajiya Ai’isha Abubakar and other family members; the Imam of Kano family and the Walin Kano dynasty, President Buhari described the deceased as “beacon to inspire young politicians and businessmen. Throughout his life, he stood for what is right and demonstrated this commitment in all his acts whether as an administrator, commissioner, banker and politician. May Allah repose his soul,” said the President.
