President Muhammadu Buhari joins the celebration as former Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Suleiman Saidu (Rtd) turns 81 years, rejoicing with the former Rivers State Governor, who dedicated his active years in serving the nation.

President Buhari notes the intellectual depth the retired military officer brought into training and operations, being on the frontline in fighting for the unity of the country during the civil war.

As the former Chief of Naval Staff celebrates another milestone, the President notes the historical positions he has held as Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Captain of NNS Aradu, later taking over Command of the Aradu, and reached the peak of his career as Chief of Naval Staff in 1993.

President Buhari prays for the wellbeing of the retired military officer and his family.
