Against the backdrop of the literary infighting between the hyenas, the jackals and weak animals over the absence of the lion king from the kingdom, strong indications have emerged that President Muhammadu Buhari may return to Nigeria before August ending.
The Daily Times further gathered that the President will also join other Muslim faithful in celebrating the forthcoming Sallah in Nigeria. One of the presidential aides also confided in our correspondents that necessary arrangement are being put in place to facilitate the imminent return of the President to the country.
The aide, who spoke in confidence because of the sensitive nature of the matter, also stated that the president’s doctors are taking necessary action in ensuring his fitness for the task ahead. The source also disclosed that the wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, played a positive role in ensuring that her husband received the much needed support to ensure his return to the country. He said,
“ Baring any unforeseen circumstances, President Buhari will return to Nigeria on or before August ending. I can also tell you that the President, Insha Allah, will celebrate the forthcoming Sallah with Muslim faithful in Nigeria on September 2.
“ Don’t forget that when the presidential media team visited President Buhari in London on Saturday, he told the members of the team that he was ready to resume work in Nigeria.
“He also stated that he was only waiting for his doctors’ advice before coming to Nigeria. “I can confirm to you that the President is okay and ready to resume his work.
He is conscious of his role and I can tell you that he is passionate about the task of moving the country forward. “I also wish to state that the President’s wife has been doing a wonderful job in ensuring that her husband is getting necessary attention and support in London.
“I know that some people are not happy about her involvement. But for God’s sake, she is the wife of the President and she is committed to her husband’s welfare.
“You know the role of a wife in the family is a serious matter, not to talk of President’s wife. Apart from being a wife, she is also playing the role of a mother and ensuring that the right things are being done.
“For those who have been wishing or holding contrary views against the health status of President Buhari, I have certain words for them – the President is okay and will soon be back into the country.
“I can further inform you that when the President returns to Nigeria, certain actions are bound to happen. Just wait and see.” When asked to mention some of the impending actions of the President, the aide declined to give details.
He added that certain power mongers in the corridors of power were not happy about the President’s return as they preferred the status quo to remain. He however stated that the power mongers had missed the point as he insisted that Buhari would soon be in Nigeria to continue his job with the acting President Yemi Osinbajo.
The Daily Times recalls that earlier in June, Mrs Aisha Buhari while responding to a Facebook post by Senator Shehu Sani, gave a hint on the president’s recovery and imminent return, when she posted that, “The hyenas and the jackals will soon be ejected from the kingdom.”
Sani had earlier posted a message in which he made a veiled reference to alleged intrigues and power play in government circle in President Buhari’s absence; saying that : “Prayer for the absent Lion King has waned; until he’s back then they will fall over each other to be on the front row of the palace temple.
Now the hyenas and the jackals are scheming and talking to each other in whispers; still doubting whether the Lion King will be back or not…
“It is the wish of the Hyenas and the Jackals that the Lion King never wakes up or come back so that they can be kings. It is the prayers of the weak animals that the Lion King comes back to save the kingdom from the Hyenas, the wolves and other predators.”
Mrs. Buhari took a cue and alluded to some elements around her ailing husband as “the hyenas” and “the jackals,” and expressed hope that they would soon be sent out of “his Kingdom. Mrs Buhari further replied that, “God has answered the prayers of the weaker animals.
The hyenas and the jackals will soon be sent out of the kingdom. We strongly believe in the prayers and support of the weaker animals.”
In an earlier interview with the BBC last October, Aisha had also accused an unnamed cabal of hijacking the APC government led by her husband.
Concerned by some appointments made by her husband, she warned that she may not support his re-election in 2019 if the president failed to shake up his cabinet.
She had said, “As a person, I have my right to say how I feel about something. If it continues like this, me, I am not going to be part of any movement again, because I need to work with the people that we started the journey with collectively so that we can achieve what we want to achieve, so that he would leave a legacy.”
