The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated business mogul and renowned philanthropist, Sir Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, joined family, friends, associates and people of Iperu-Remo in Ogun State to celebrate the Chairman of Premier Lotto, who turns 90 on October 24.
Sanwo-Olu, who is the Chairman of the South-West Governors Forum, described Sir Kessington Adebutu as a national icon and respected elder statesman who has impacted many lives positively and served humanity passionately.
Governor Sanwo-Olu said Sir Adebutu is a good example of a selfless leader, who deserves all the accolades at 90 for his life of impact and positive contribution in different sectors as a business mogul, influential entrepreneur and philanthropist.
He said: “On behalf of my family, the government and the people of Lagos State, I felicitate business mogul and renowned philanthropist, Sir Kessington Adebutu, the Chairman of Premier Lotto, on his 90th birthday.
“He has impacted many lives and given hope to millions of people in Nigeria, particularly in his hometown, Iperu-Remo, and Ogun State, through his philanthropic gestures. As a business man and Chairman of Premier Lotto, he is contributing to the country’s economy, providing employment and creating opportunities and sustaining families.
“Sir Kessington Adebutu is a respected role model who has inspired young Nigerians to believe in enterprise and diligence. He has also made remarkable contributions to the growth and development of business, community, religion, sports and other critical areas in Nigeria with his resources.
“The Chairman of Premier Lotto has also contributed actively to strengthening democracy, promoting good governance, fostering national unity, and promoting peace and harmony in the country for several decades.
“As Sir Kessington Adebutu joins the league of nonagenarians today, I wish him a joyous 90th birthday. I pray that the Almighty God will continue to bless him with good health and strengthen him to render more service and contribution to humanity.”
