Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has mourned the passing of the Plus TV cameraman attached to his Office, Mr. Samson Obafisoye.

The Governor described the death of Obafisoye as a great loss, not only to the deceased family but to the broadcast industry.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Wednesday, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, described the late Obafisoye as a thoroughbred  professional who discharged his duties diligently and contributed his quota to the broadcast media industry in Nigeria.

The Governor also commiserated with the deceased family, friends and colleagues, especially the management and staff of the Plus TV as well as the Lagos State Governor’s Office Correspondents (LAGOCO), over the death of the cameraman.

He said: “Mr. Samson Obafisoye’s death was a great loss not only to his family but to the media industry, particularly the management and staff of Plus TV and executive and members of the Lagos State Governor’s Office Correspondents (LAGOCO). He was a diligent and thoroughbred professional. His death was a great shock, but we take solace in the Almighty God that he lived a fulfilled life.

“Samson Obafisoye will be greatly missed. On behalf of my family and the State Government, I sympathise with the deceased family, friends, associates, and colleagues. I pray that God will grant him eternal rest and grant his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
