In a landmark gesture towards bolstering security in Delta State, the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has announced a ₦10 billion donation to the Delta State Security Trust Fund.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, during the official launch of the fund held at the Government House, Asaba.
The event was graced by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, top government officials, heads of security agencies, traditional rulers, and community leaders from across the state.
Tompolo’s donation represents one of the largest private contributions ever made to a state security initiative in Nigeria, underscoring his commitment to peace, stability, and the development of the Niger Delta.
The donation, observers say, is expected to significantly strengthen the operational capacity of security agencies and community-based security networks in tackling issues such as oil theft, kidnapping, and other criminal activities in the state.
Governor Oborevwori, who inaugurated the Delta State Security Trust Fund, commended Tompolo for his patriotic support, describing the contribution as “a bold vote of confidence in our collective pursuit of a safer Delta.”
The Delta State Security Trust Fund aims to mobilize resources from both public and private sectors to support security operations, provide logistics, and enhance inter-agency collaboration across the state.
Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services has been widely recognized for its role in safeguarding oil pipelines and combating crude oil theft across the Niger Delta under the federal government’s surveillance contract.
His latest donation, stakeholders say, reaffirms his position as a key partner in Delta’s peace and development agenda.
