In a strategic move, the airline also announced a new route from Ogun-Abuja. ValueJet now operates a bi-weekly flight schedule on the new route. Commenting on this step, ValueJet’s MD, Capt. Omololu Majekodunmi affirmed the smart step saying “As part of our expansion programme, we are serving the growing demand in Ogun while offering an alternative to Lagos and Ibadan for passengers in the Gateway International Airport catchment area.”
This is not the first time ValueJet showed its commitment to expansion. On May 15, 2025, the wider West African community was graced by the successful launch of its Lagos–Banjul route. This move was quickly followed by plans to expand the regional network further, targeting destinations like Accra, Cotonou, and Malabo.
