Wizkid has once again shown his modest side by shutting down comparisons between himself and Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
The singer who has experienced tremendous success in his career thinks that putting his name in the same sentence as the Afro Beat legend is disrespectful to the late legend.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Hip TV, Wizkid described Fela as his idol and as such, thinks he should not be compared to him.
“You cannot compare me with Fela, let us not use that word ‘cos that’s like a disrespect when you’re mentioning Wizkid and Fela in the same sentence. You can’t compare, that’s someone that inspires me, i have tatted on me, Fela’s face is on my body so you can’t compare
“He just inspires me with what he has done with his music and his legacy, He inspires me to be great and continue to do more. He’s just an inspiration and a motivation to me” Wizkid said.
