The Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, officially declared open the 2026 FAAN Management Retreat, themed “Consolidating Gains and Institutionalizing Sustainable Growth, today, 5th June, 2026.”

The three-day retreat brings together FAAN’s senior management team to evaluate the Authority’s transformation journey, strengthen institutional capacity, and align strategic priorities with emerging global aviation trends and industry best practices.

Day One of the retreat focused on critical discussions around positioning FAAN for the future through sustained reforms, examining global and African airport development trends, enhancing process standardization and performance management across Nigeria’s airports, and advancing infrastructure modernization and operational efficiency.

The session also provided an opportunity for a comprehensive review of progress made under the MD/CE’s transformative pillars, with emphasis on embedding sustainable growth, operational excellence, innovation, and long-term value creation across the Authority’s airport network.
