Volunteers showed excited Campaign Chairman APC’s clear path to victory

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for Ondo State Governorship Election and Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu along with his colleagues, members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and Campaign Council on Saturday night visited the party’s situation room in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.

During the visit, volunteers and party faithful who were excited with the possibility of a landslide victory by APC and its candidate, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the Saturday gubernatorial poll, showed the excited Campaign Chairman the APC’s clear path to victory and commended Governor Sanwo-Olu and other APC chieftains for leading the ruling party to victory.

Governor Sanwo-Olu visited the Situation Room alongside the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje; Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) and Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, Chairman, Progressives Governors Forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma; Chairman, Southern Governors Forum and Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and Governors Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti) Babagana Zulum (Borno) and Hyancinth Alia (Benue), Bassey Otu (Cross River), among other top leaders.

Speaking during the visit to the Situation Room, Governor Sanwo-Olu, who is the Chairman of South-West Governors Forum, thanked the party faithful and volunteers, assuring them that their labour would not be in vain as Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, when declared officially by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), would continue the party’s agenda of economic and infrastructural growth in Ondo State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, based on the results of 13 local government areas announced so far by INEC is leading with a wide margin having defeated his main opponent, Ajayi Agboola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in all the local government areas.

It would be recalled that Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Sanwo-Olu, and other party leaders during the APC mega rally held on Wednesday at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park, Akure, urged party leaders and electorates to deliver the entire 18 councils in Ondo for Aiyedatiwa during the Saturday gubernatorial poll.

They said their expectation from the electorates is for the party’s governorship candidate and incumbent Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to win the entire 18 local government areas in the State with a wide margin.
