The University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA), particularly the Asaba Chapter is in deep mourning following the tragic and shocking death of one of its most distinguished members, Chief Shimite Love, fondly known as The White Eagle.

According to reports, Chief Shimite Love was allegedly murdered by her husband in the early hours of Monday, April 21, 2025. Her untimely passing has cast a dark shadow over the UIAA community and beyond, as we mourn the loss of a rare gem who contributed immensely to both alumni activities and public service.

Chief Shimite Love was a graduate of Political Science from the prestigious University of Ibadan. She was not only a proud Chief of Ebu Kingdom in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, but also a brilliant political figure. Until her death, she served with distinction as the Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Trade and Export.

Chief Shimite Love

Her intelligence, grace, and unwavering commitment to progress made her a shining star in Delta State’s political arena and a cherished voice within the UIAA. Personally, I will miss her radiant presence and insightful contributions during our alumni programmes. Her charm and intellect left an indelible mark. Both UIAA and Delta State just lost an asset.

May her soul rest in perfect peace.
